When to Sow Outside: RECOMMENDED. 1 to 2 weeks after your average last frost date, and when soil temperature is at least 65°F, ideally 70°–85°F. NOTE: In very hot summer areas, skip sowing as high heat approaches; temperatures consistently above 90°F will prevent beans from forming.

Growing Info
Harvesting: Snap beans are ready to pick when the pod "snaps" or breaks in half cleanly. This is when the seeds have just begun to form and the pods are several inches long (depending on the variety). Hold the stem with one hand, and the pod with the other hand to avoid pulling off branches, which will continue to produce. At season's end, plants are great compost material if they are disease-free.

This was a wonderful bean, best harvested when small and tender. I was surprised with how many beans these small but mighty bushes produced! The rabbits loved them, too.

The seeds were so easy to plant, my 1 year old granddaughter did it! And they sprouted within a few days. They’ve grown nicely despite the Texas heat and are flowering now - hope to have beans soon.

So I just pointed this year! I have been buying this brand for many years and have always had at least 80 to 90% germination and wonderful plants and incredible long producing plants. This year was a bust. Nothing has changed at my place but the germination rate was about 10% on one package of beans! Thought about asking for a refund, but I just went and bought a grocery store brand of beans and got 100% germination. Really disappointed with these this year

These are my absolute favorite bush beans that we have had such a nasty year in Colorado with drought and heat and snow and they have not germinated. I am so disappointed. Can’t blame the beans just the weather. They are the most delicious tender green beans I’ve ever eaten.
